Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Average (SD)

The average (n = 3) reported melting point (MP) of TMP is 72±1°C. The reported MP data were considered to have a Klimisch code of 4, indicating that reliability is unassignable because the data were taken from reference sources which are “secondary literature” (Klimisch et al., 1987).

Conclusions:
The average (n = 3) reported melting point (MP) of 2,4,6-trimethylphenol (TMP) is 72 ± 1 °C.
