Administrative data
First-aid measures
Remove contaminated soaked clothing immediately
In the event of persistent symptoms receive medical treatment
After inhalation
Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of dust or fumes from overheating or combustion.
In the event of symptoms refer for medical treatment.
After contact with skin
Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water.
Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
After contact with eyes
Rinse immediatelt with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
After ingestion
Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink.
Summon a doctor immediately.
Induce vomiting only upon the advice of a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Water spray jet, foam.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons
Full water jet, dry powder, carbondioxide
Special exposure hazards arising from substance or preparartion itself, combustion products, resulting gases
Fire may produce : Carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
Accidental release measures
Breathing apparatus (particle filter) only if dust is formed.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Avoid dust formation.
Use personal protective clothing.
Remove all sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions
Do not discharge into the drains/surface waters/ground water.
Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.
Methods for cleaning up/taking up
Pick up mechanically, avoiding dust and provide disposal in suitable containers.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling
Keep container tightly closed.
Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery and at places where dust can be generated.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin or mucous membrane.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking.
Risk of dust explosion.
Avoid formation of dust.
Take measures against electrostatically charging.
Storage
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Further information on storage conditions
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
