Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In a published study there were no signs of toxicity; no findings at autopsy at 25 ppm; at 60 ppm/saturated there were no signs of toxicity; blood and urine tests were normal and  autopsy and histology showed increased cellularity in lungs.
Executive summary:

No overt (clinical) signs of toxicity were observed in a screening study in which groups of eight rats (4 males and 4 females) exposed to EHMA vapour at concentrations of 60 and 25 ppm (486 and 203mg/m3) for 6 hr/day, five days per week, over 3 weeks. Gross examination of the major organs revealed no adverse effects, but microscopic examination showed some changes (increased cellularity) to the lungs of the rats exposed to the higher concentration.
