Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry agents and water are suitable.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot and copper

compounds.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing

apparatus are recommended.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from the immediate vicinity. Wear

suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Avoid dust

formation, absorb spillages with a suitable inert material

eg sand, soil and transfer to labelled waste containers.

Dispose of in accordance with local or national legislation.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored and handled under conditions

of good industrial hygiene. Use engineering controls to

reduce exposure. If exposure cannot be avoided, wear eye

protection, and chemical-resistant gloves and protective

clothing. The use of a dust mask conforming to prEN 149, FFP

grade 1 is also recommended.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or discharges is not

economically nor technically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal of contaminated containers, waste material or

solutions by landfill is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration at a

suitable authorised facility equipped with waste gas

treatment to remove nitrogen and sulfur oxides.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Disposal of highly dilute solutions by this route is

possible.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance sill only enter the public domain in the form

of dyed articles that may be disposed of as domestic or

office waste.
