Description of key information
In accordance with REACH Annex VIII, 9.14. The study does not need to be conducted if there are mitigating factors indicating that microbial toxicity is unlikely to occur, for instance the substance is highly insoluble in water; or the substance is found to be readily biodegradable and the applied test concentrations are in the range of concentrations that can be expected in the influent of a sewage treatment plant. The substance is both highly insoluble, deemed to pose no hazards at the limit of solubility in water. It is biodegradable in appropriate concentrations that would be applicable to usage, where disposal of finished product should be in accordance with hazardous waste regulations. This test is therefore not required.
