Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

The two studies cited in this IUCLID data set indicate that the test substances 1 -Hexadecene and a blend of C16/C18 olefins don´t cause skin sensitisation.

Based on the category approach, sensitisation studies on olefins (ranging from C6 -C18) were evaluated within the OECD SIDS higher olefins. According to this, available data for C6-C18 alpha and internal olefins indicate that these materials do not cause skin

sensitisation in guinea pigs and members of the Higher Olefins Category are not likely to be skin sensitisers.
