Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Additional information
The substance is a solid organic sulphonic acid sodium salt. The majority of the physico-chemical tests war carried out with Everzol Yellow GSP, which is defined as the acid form of the dye (CAS: 27624-67-5). In the production of both the free acid form and Reaktiv Gelb 201, the method of synthesis is identical up to the point of final isolation. The pH of the solution at isolation will affect which salt is produced, the dry pure product will either possess the Na or the H group on the charged oxygen. However, in the presence of any salt, the isolation of the acid form as a crystalline salt is highly unlikely. As soon as the material is dissolved again, the equilibrium will be reached almost instantly and at an acid pH the ionised form will be predominant.
Read across is applicable based on the content of sodium ions. The presence of these is determined by the pH of the isolation of the dyestuff itself. Therefore the substance to be registered is deemed to be a mixture of free acid, mono and di sodium salts. Upon comparison of the NMR-Spectra of the substance to be registered and the read across chemical it is evident that the chemical shifts as well as the integrations are the same, hence it is difficult to quantify free acid, mono and di variants. The CAS number proposed for the substance to be registered covers the sodium element (CAS: 795275-80-8). The associated free acid has a unique CAS number (CAS: 27624-67-5); this is referenced in the substance identity, as does the disodium variant, which is also referenced.
Testing on the physico-chemical endpoints indicates that there are no hazards associated with the physico-chemical properties of this substance. The substance is not sufficiently volatile nor does the particle size indicate that the substance will pose a hazard by inhalation.
There are no oxidising, explosivity or flammability hazards associated with the substance based on predictive and laboratory tests.
Reliability.
The studies have all been ranked reliability 1 according to the Klimisch et al system. This ranking was deemed appropriate because the studies were all conducted to GLP in compliance with recognised guidelines.
Justification for classification or non classification
The above results triggered no classification under the Dangerous Substance Directive (67/548/EEC) and the CLP Regulation (EC No 1272/2008).
