Any other information on results incl. tables
There were two definite melting events between 94 and 97°C, and between 99 and 101°C, indicated by the small double endotherm. The parameter values replicate well in the repeated segments of Run 2. These two events are considered due to impurities. The main endotherm, representing melting of the active ingredient, was between 150 and 164°C. A degradation process was subsequently observed to be taking place, indicated by the broad exotherm above 240°C. A black crispy residue remained at the end of the tests.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The overall conclusion from this study is that the test item melts at nominally 150-164°C (423 to 437 K). Decomposition was seen to occur above nominally 240°C (513 K). There were additional melting signals, due to impurities, between 94 and 101°C (367 and 374 K).
- Executive summary:
The overall conclusion from this study is that the test item melts at nominally 150-164°C (423 to 437 K). Decomposition was seen to occur above nominally 240°C (513 K). There were additional melting signals, due to impurities, between 94 and 101°C (367 and 374 K).
