On the basis of tests performed, it was concluded that Midazolam at high doses
is a promoter of hepatic tumor formation in sensitive mouse strains (e.g. B6C3F1) but has no initiating-type carcinogenic activity, For a phenobarbital-like mode of
action it has been established that the carcinogenic response in the liver of rodents is not relevant for humans.
