Seventh Stakeholders' Day - Conference agenda finalised ECHA has confirmed all speakers of the Seventh Annual Stakeholders' Day conference taking place in Helsinki on 23 May. The registration form for the conference is available on ECHA's website and will be open until 16 May 2012. The conference gives participants the opportunity to hear the latest news and updates from ECHA, European trade associations and NGOs, with a special focus on SMEs and member registrants facing the 2013 registration deadline. PRESS RELEASES ECHA launches new public consultations on two proposals for harmonised classification and labelling 17/4/2012 ECHA invites the parties concerned to comment on two new proposals for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH): Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl and 8:2 Fluorotelomer alcohol (8:2 FTOH). The public consultation will be open for 45 days and will end on 1 June 2012. The CLH reports and the dedicated webform to post the comments are available on the ECHA website. |

NEWS ALERTS Chesar 2.0 to be released in June 18/4/2012
After a successful first round of testing by industry, ECHA confirms that a new version of the Chemical Safety Assessment and Reporting Tool, Chesar, will be released by the end of June 2012. ECHA to publish total tonnage band for registered substances 18/4/2012
ECHA has taken a decision on the method by which it will calculate the total tonnage bands for substances on ECHA's registered substances database. The total tonnage bands for registered substances will be published on the ECHA website during June 2012. ECHA calls for a meeting of experts to discuss reproductive and repeated dose toxicity of cymoxanil 18/4/2012
Following consultation with the members of the Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) and the RAC rapporteurs for cymoxanil, ECHA invites the concerned parties to nominate experts to discuss specific scientific questions related to the classification of cymoxanil for reproductive toxicity and specific target organ toxicity. The meeting will be held in Helsinki on 11 June 2012. Registration will be open until 1 May 2012 on ECHA's website. |

ON THE WEB Downstream user webinar: agenda published 18/4/2012 A webinar for downstream users who receive exposure scenarios for registered substances will take place on 23 April. In addition, a short part of the webinar will be dedicated to the issue of communicating uses to those registering for 2013. Chesar 2.0 live demonstration webinar, 21 May 2012 18/4/2012 ECHA plans to organise a preview of the beta version of the new Chemical Safety Assessment and Reporting tool (Chesar) in May. The webinar is open for all and covers the functionalities of Chesar. It also provides an in-depth live demonstration of the beta-version as well as information for potential users interested in trying out the application before its release in June.
