National Inspectorates - Norway

Organization and responsibility of enforcement activities with respect to REACH, CLP and BPR are laid down in the national regulations implementing REACH, CLP and BPR.

National enforcement authorities, which deal with issues relating to the environment, consumer products, occupational health and safety are responsible for ensuring compliance with REACH, CLP and BPR within their respective spheres of responsibility.

The Norwegian Environment Agency is the national enforcement authority for the Norwegian regulation on export and import of certain dangerous chemicals. The national legislation  implement the requirements of the Rotterdam Convention (on PIC) in Norway.
