Appearence
Based on visual assessment, the submission item is a pale yellow liquid material capable of producing a mild odour.
Melting/freezing point
The pour point of the test substance has been determined to be 265 ± 3 K (-8.15°C) (EU method A.1).
Boiling point
Decomposition occurred from approximately 437 ± 0.5K at ca. 102.08 kPa and consequently no value for the boiling temperature could be determined (EU Method A.2). From vapour pressure data, the boiling temperature of the test substance is estimated to be 690 K (416.85°C) at 101.325 kPa (EU Method A.4).
Relative density
The relative density was measured to be 1.05 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C (EU Method A.3).
Vaopur pressure
The vapour pressure was found to be 2.7E-08-8 Pa at 25 ºC (EU Method A.4).
Octanol/water Partition Coefficient
Log Pow > 6.2 at 40°C (EU Method A.8).
Water solubility
The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be 2.33 mg/l of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5° C (EU Method A.6).
Fat solubility
The test substance has been determined to be miscible in all proportions with standard fat at 37.0 ± 0.5 °C (OECD 116).
Flash point
The flash point of the test item has been determined to be 117 ± 2 °C (EU Method A.9).
Auto-flammability
The test item has been determined to have an auto-ignition temperature of 228 ± 5 °C (EU Method A.15).
Flammability
The substance is non-flammable based on the flash point of 117°C.
Explosive properties
Based on the idealised chemical structure of the test item the result for explosive properties has been predicted negative.
Oxidising properties
Based on the idealised chemical structure of the test item the result for oxidising properties has been predicted negative.
