Key result
Water solubility:
855 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
19.8 °C
pH:
>= 9.4 - <= 9.7
Remarks on result:
other: mean value of the 48- and 72-hour measurements
Details on results:
An increment in concentration was observed between the 24, 48 and 72- hour measurements (maximum difference > 15%). Based on this, the water solubility of the test item was given as the mean value of the 48- and 72-hour measurements.
A small response was observed at the retention time of the test item. The maximum contribution of the area to the sample with the lowest analysed concentration is 0.0000015%.

Stirring time [hours]  Analyzed concentration [g/L] pH
 24  750  9.8
 48  803  9.4
 72  906  9.7
Conclusions:
This study validly assessed the solubility in water according to the specificied guidelines. The water solubility of the test item at 19.8°C was 855 g/L.

Description of key information

The flask method was applied for the determination of the water solubility of 1,4 piperazinediethanesulfonic acid disodium salt.

The water solubility of the test item at 19.8°C was 855 g/L.

The pH of the aqueous samples was 9.8, 9.4, and 9.7 after stirring for 24, 48, and 72 hours respectively

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
855 g/L
at the temperature of:
19.8 °C
