Preliminary Test

The content of test item dissolved in the n-octanol sample after two centrifugation steps was 26.9 g/L.

Shake Flask Method

The log Pow values were within the criterion range of ± 0.3 log units. The Pow and log Pow of the test item were 0.19 and -0.7, respectively. The Pow and log Pow of the test item are given as the mean value of all measurements.

No test item was detected in the chromatograms of the pretreated samples from the blank aqueous phases. In the chromatograms of the pretreated samples from the n-octanol phases a small response at the retention time of the test item was detected. The pH of the blank samples was between pH 7.0 and 7.1.

Conclusions:
The Pow value of the test item was 0.19. The log Pow value was -0.7.
Executive summary:

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient log Pow of the test item was determined in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with EC Guideline A.8 and OECD Guideline No. 107, using the shake flask method. The log Pow value of the test item was -0.7.

Description of key information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient log Pow of the test item was determined in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with EC Guideline A.8 and OECD Guideline No. 107, using the shake flask method. The log Pow value of the test item was -0.7.

Additional information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient log Pow of the test item was determined in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with standard methods, without deviations. The study is considered as reliable (Klimisch 1) and is selected as a key study for the endpoint.
