First-aid measures
If the person doesn’t recover quickly, obtain medical attention or hospitalize.
FIRST AID SKIN: DO NOT DELAY.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected skin witn soap and water.
OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION OR HOSPITALIZE IMMEDIATELY.
FIRST AID EYE: DO NOT DELAY.
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION OR HOSPITALIZE IMMEDIATELY.
FIRST AID INGESTION: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If the person doesn’t recover quickly, obtain medical attention or hospitalize.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Medical attention at least 48h. Treat symptomatically.
If in doubt what to do, call Poisons Information Centre : Emergency telephone of the country.
Fire-fighting measures
Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, alcohol-resistant foam or waterspray or fog.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Combustion produces irritating fumes.
Combustion products may include: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen.
Advice for firefighters
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Water in jet.
Protective equipment : Wear self contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing for fire fighting if necessary.
Keep adjacent containers cool by spraying with water.
Accidental release measures
Ventilate contaminated area thoroughly.
Do not breathe mist/vapours/spray.
Evacuate the area of all non-essential personnel.
Avoid contact with : skin, eyes, clothing.
Extinguish any naked flames. Remove ignition sources. Avoid sparks. Do not smoke.
Wear protective clothing specified for normal operations (see Section 8)
Environmental precautions
Prevent contamination of soil and air. Stop leaks if possible with safe handling.
Prevent from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers by using sand or earth or other
appropriate barriers. Shovel up and place in a appropriate container for subsequent safe disposal.
Retain washings as contaminated waste.
Inform the local authorities if this cannot be prevented.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Prevent from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers by using sand or earth or other
appropriate barriers. Do not use sawdust.
Observe all relevant local and international regulations.
Handling and storage
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, clothing.
Provide for appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery.
Remove ignition sources. Avoid sparks. Do not smoke.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Do not smoke in the storage areas.
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
Do not use lignt metal drum.
UNSUITABLE MATERIALS : aluminium
