Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: The test solutions were prepared using a stock solution of 100 mg/L by adding quantitatively 25.1 mg of test substance to 250 mL ISO-medium. The final test solution was all clear without precipitation.
Test organisms (species):
Daphnia magna
Details on test organisms:
TEST ORGANISM
- Common name: Water flea
- Strain/clone: Daphnia magna (Crustacea, Cladocera) (Straus, 1820)
- Age at study initiation (mean and range, SD): < 24h
- Method of breeding: Start of each batch with newborn animals, i.e. less than 3 days old, by placing about 250 of them into 10 litres of medium in an all-glass culture vessel. Maximum age of the cultures 4 weeks. Renewal of the cultures. After 7 days of cultivation half of the medium twice a week.
- Feeding during test None

Conclusions:
In a test conducted according to OECD guideline 202 (1984), daphnids were treated with the test substance up to a concentration of 1000 mg/L for 48h. The 48h EC50 is considered to be > 1000 mg/L (nominal concentration).

Description of key information

In a test conducted according to OECD guideline 202 (1984), daphnids were treated with ε-trifluoracetyl-L-lysyl-L-proline (TFA-Lys-Pro) up to a concentration of 1000 mg/L for 48h. The 48h EC50 is considered to be > 1000 mg/L (nominal concentration).
