The ready biodegradability of the test item was assessed over a 28 day period. The test material attained 94 % biodegradation after 28 days but without reaching the 10-day window. Thus, the test item was classified readily biodegradable, but failing 10-day window.

According to REACH Annex IX, column 2, a study on biodegradation in water and sediment can be waived if the substance is readily biodegradable, thus, further assessment is not necessary.
