Description of key information

The registered substance is not readily biodegradable nor inherently biodegradable. Based on oxygen consumption, biodegradation levels of ≤ 7% were observed in ready screening tests and between 4-33% in an inherent test. Although, chemical specific analysis in one ready test indicated primary biodegradation there was still significant levels of parent left at the end of the test. Moreover, the substance was found to be stable to hydrolysis, thus it is considered as being potentially persistent in the environment.

With an experimental log Kow value determined at 3.4, the registered substance is not bioaccumulable according to CLP (< 4.0) and PBT criteria (< 4.5). Finally, an experimental log Koc value was determined at 1.94.
