First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure and keep person at rest. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate affected areas well with water for at least 15

minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with water. If irritation develops seek

medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of nitrogen,

carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and fluorides.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In the event of a large spillage wear an air-suit, rubber

gloves and wellington boots and carefully collect up the

solid and transfer to a sealed container. Wipe up any

residue left with a damp cloth and transfer to a sealed

container. All material should be disposed of by

incineration in accordance with local regulations. In the

event of a small spillage wear laboratory coat, eye

protection, rubber gloves and, if the spillage occurs

outside a vented area, a half air-suit or air-fed visor.

Collect the solid carefully and transfer to a sealed

container. Wipe up any residue left with a damp cloth and

place in a container for disposal. All materials should be

disposed of by incineration in accordance with local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Protective rubber gloves (14 inch PVC gauntlets BS EN374.1),

paper suits and safety goggles (BS2092.2.I.C grade 2 impact

resistant and chemical splash resistant) should be worn.

Where local exhaust ventilation is impracticable, wear an

approved air-fed visor (TM 14/7.25) or half air-suit (prEN

943 or TM 14/7.27).

Storage: The storage location should be maintained at ambient

temperature in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. The

substance is stored in the original container which should

be correctly labelled and kept tightly closed.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Lined fibreboard drums.

the substance is possible as it is completely converted

during the production process. Spilled material should be

collected and disposed of by incineration.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning

under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment

processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases

should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes (eg oxides of

carbon and nitrogen together with hydrogen fluorides) could

be formed.
