No experimental studies investigating the adsorption/desorption potential of 1,3-butylene diacetate (CAS 1117-31-3) are available. Therefore, the adsorption/desorption potential was calculated using KOCWIN v2.00 (Müller, 2011). Calculations, resulted in log Koc values of 1 (based on molecular connectivity index (MCI)) and 1.52 (estimation based on log Kow), indicating that the substance has a low potential to adsorb to organic soil and sediment particles.
