Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the substance to fish was tested in a guideline study following OECD guideline 203. The test fish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to the test substance for 96 hours in a static test system. A LC50 > 58 mg/l based on analytically determined test concentrations was detected. Though the analytical method suffers from some flaws as probably unsolved test substance was sampled. Therefore the measured test concentrations presumably do not reflect the actual solved test substance concentration. Furthermore the solubility of the substance was increased by the addition of a solubiliser. However, in conclusion the obtained results contribute to the assumption that the substance has no lethal effect on fish in the range of its water solubility. Therefore and for reasons of animal welfare a second test on the acute toxicity of fish is considered as not useful as it will most likely not provide any further information. In addition the suggested long-term toxicity test in Daphnia will provide sufficient information on the aquatic toxicity of the substance.
