Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Decomposes at >234°C before boiling.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

1. Statement by determination using DSC method:.

The decomposition temperature beginns about 234°C corresponds to the temperature region where a brown discoloration of the substance is observed by the determination of the boiling point with the Siwoloboff method.

2. Statement by determination using Siwoloboff method (cited in Report on Vapour Pressure Curve and Boiling Point):

The boiling point of the substance could not be determinated by the Siwoloboff method, because the decomposition begins earlier than the boiling point. Therefore the boiling point of the substance was calculated from the thermogravimetric measurement ( Diffusion controlled evaporation).

The boiling point was measured to be 143°C at 11 Pa and extrapolated to be 367°C at 1013 hPa.
