Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

No reliable information is available on the test substance.

Experimental data on a non-chlorinated related substance (CAS 88 -44 -8) has been published on the ECHA dissimination view. No skin sensizing potential was observed in a GLP- compliant LLNA (OECD 429).

The sodium salt of the registered substance did not cause skin sensitization in a poorly documented study in guinea pigs in 1960. Only ten animals were used in the treatment groups. However, the exposure conditions used were rather stringent.

Overall, it is not expected that the substance causes skin sensitization.
