Phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3), dihydrate has low bioaccumulation potential

According to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Annex IX, section 9.3.2, column 2, testing for this endpoint is not required if the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation. Phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3), dihydrate is a simple, highly soluble inorganic salt that dissociates immediately in aquatic solutions. The main products of the dissociation of this substance in water are PO4-3 and K+ions. Both potassium and phosphate are essential elements and therefore, aquatic organisms posses internal mechanisms in order to regulate them. Based on this information, no risk of bioaccumulation and biomagnification is associated with phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3), dihydrate.
