Results: HPLC method

Details on results (HPLC method):
In the chromatogram of the test substance solution, one peak with a retention time of 1.17 minutes was observed. Under the same analytical conditions, the retention time of acetanilide (log Koc (soil) = 1.26, log Koc (sewage sludge) = 1.52) was 2.28 minutes. Hence, it was concluded that the log Koc(soil) of the test substance was < 1.3 (Koc < 18) whereas the log Koc (sewage sludge) was < 1.52 (Koc < 33).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The HPLC method using soil/sewage sludge-adsorption-reference data was applied for the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of E-BK105. The Koc and log Koc values (soil) of the test substance at neutral pH were < 18 and < 1.3, respectively. The values for Koc and log Koc (sewage sludge) at netural pH were < 33 and < 1.52, respectively.
