Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
adverse effect observed (sensitising)
Additional information:

Skin Sens 1, H317: May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
read across from data/evidence based expert jugement:
THPC is considered a skin sensitiser based on two other existing data: a 20% THPC aqueous solution was found positive for skin sensitisation and a 75% THPS aqueous solution was found positive for skin sensitisation both by means of the GPMT (Magusson&Kligman)

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:
Migrated from Short description of key information:
The repiratory sensitisation potential has not been tested.
Technical THPC (80%) is an liquid solution. THPC is ionic compound which cannot be inhaled other than by means of an aerosol. Under intended conditions of use the formation of an aerosol is not a realistic exposure scenario for men.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Skin Sensitisation: data conclusive for classification (Skin Sens. Cat 1; H317).

Respiratory Sensistisation: test waived (no exposure); no classification required.
