Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with point 9.4, Column 2 (Specific rules for adaption from Column 1), Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, studies investigating the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. In the ECHA 'Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7c: Endpoint specific guidance' this is further specified. In the case of readily biodegradable substances which are not directly applied to the soil it is generally assumed that the substance will not enter the terrestrial environmental and as such no testing of soil organisms is required. Since the registered substance is readily biodegradable and is not directly applied to soil, testing for this endpoint has been omitted.
