Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with Section 1 of Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, the study required under point 9.3.2 of Annex IX (bioaccumulation in aquatic species) is considered scientifically unjustified since the substance is readily biodegradable and is considered to have a low potential for bioaccumulation. The substance was determined to be readily biodegradable in the submitted screening study, and will therefore not persist in the environment. It was not possible to determine the log Pow of the registered substance due to its surface activity, however the log Pow of the structural analogue Sodium N-myristoyl-L-glutamate was available, log Pow -1.08 to -0.571. Based on their structural similarities the registered substance is also expected to have a log Pow of < 3 and is thus considered to have a low potential for bioaccumulation. Based on these observations testing is considered scientifically unjustified.
