Description of key information

Key study: Schutt (2012): 'Determination of Water Solubility of CN-3384A Using the Column Elution Method' conducted in line with OECD Guideline 105 and EPA OPPTS 830.7840. The water solubility of the substance was determined to be < 0.0633 µg/L at 20 ± 1ºC.

In the key study (Schutt, 2012), the water solubility of the test material was determined in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD Guideline 105 and EPA OPPTS 830.7840, using the column elution method. Under the conditions of the study, the water solubility of the test material was determined to be less than 0.0633 µg/L at 20ºC.

Supporting information is available in the form of a report by Walker and White (2011) which details findings of a water solubility study conducted in line with the standardised guideline OECD Guideline 105, using the column elution method. Under the conditions of the study, the water solubility of the test substance was determined to be <= 7.96 x 10-5g/L at 20ºC

 

Both studies were performed in compliance with GLP, with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the studies. The studies were performed to a good standard in line with accepted, standardised guidelines and were assigned a reliability score of 1 according to the criteria for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997). The report by Schutt (2012) was selected as the key study since the method used was considered superior to that of the supporting study (Walker and White, 2011).
