Description of key information

Ditetradecyl peroxydicarbonate decomposes under test conditions due to Self-Accelerating Decomposition and not due to oxidative self-heating. Relevant for the thermal stability of the substance is the Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT). The SADT of the substance is 35 °C (reference SADT: CLP regulations and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 6th revised edition, sub-sections 28.1, 28.2, 28.3 and Table 28.3.). See also ECHA guidance on the application of the CLP criteria, section 2.14.
