Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted for liquid organic peroxides, because the vapours decompose during the execution of the test

Description of key information

Ditetradecyl peroxydicarbonate decomposes under test conditions due to Self-Accelerating Decomposition and not due to oxidative self-heating. Relevant for the thermal stability of the substance is the Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT). The SADT of the substance is 35 °C (reference SADT: CLP regulations 2.15.2.3 and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 6th revised edition, sub-sections 28.1, 28.2, 28.3 and Table 28.3.). See also ECHA guidance on the application of the CLP criteria, section 2.14.
