Key result
Type:
relative density
Density:
0.982
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: relative density at 20 °C in reference with water at 4 °C

The obtained value is the mean result of three determinations at 20 ± 0.5 °C:

Relative density = density (kg/m3) / 999.975 (kg/m3) (density of water at 4°C).

The average density at 20°C ± 0.5 °C of the test item is 982 kg/m3.

Conclusions:
The relative density at 20°C/4°C of nopyl acetate (CAS No. 35836-72-7) was determined to be 0.982.
Executive summary:

The determination of the relative density was performed in accordance with EU Method A.3 and OECD Guideline No 109.

The oscillating densitimeter method was used. This method is applicable to liquids with a dynamic viscosity below 5 Pa.s.

Three measurements were performed at 20°C ± 0.5°C. The relative density (D20°C/4°C) of nopyl acetate was determined to be 0.982.

Description of key information

The density was determined with an oscillating densitimeter.
The relative density 20°C/4°C of nopyl acetate is 0.982.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.982

Additional information

Key study conducted according to OECD 109 Guideline and EU Method A.3. The result is scientifically acceptable but not obtained under GLP.

Therefore a reliability of 2 (reliable with restrictions) is assigned.
