Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The concentration groups in the key study for acute fish toxicity study were set as 2.27, 2.73, 3.28, 3.93 and 4.72 mg/L at common ratio of 1.2 in the definitive test. No mortality was found in control groups. No mortality was found in 2.27, 2.73, 3.28 and 3.93 mg/L during 96h exposure as well. In 4.72 mg/L group, 2 dead fish after 24h and 48h were found and 3 dead fish were found after 72h. 6 dead fish were found after 96 exposure period.

Thus, LC50 (96h), NOEC and LOEC were 3.8 mg/L, 0.72 mg/L and 1.05 mg/L respectively based on the mortalities.

In a supportive acute fish toxicity study zebra-fish were exposed to 10, 18, 32, 58 and 100 mg/L nominal concentration for 96 hours. The LC50 in this study was established at 20.4 mg/L (nominal conc.) and the LC0 at 10 mg/L. However, as the nominal concentrations were not analytically verified and the substance was tested above water solubility limit (white precipitates were observed in test solutions) this study is of limited value for hazard and risk assessment.
