Description of key information

No wavelength could be detected where the dissociated and undissociated forms of trans-N1,N1,N4,N4-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxamide have significantly different extinction coefficients. According to REACH Annex XI the experimental determination of the dissociation constant is technically unfeasible, as the test item is contaminated with alkaline substances. Additionally, the study is scientifically unjustified, as due to the chemical structure a dissociation of the test item is not expected under naturally relevant pH conditions.
