Justification for classification or non-classification

This substance is classified as corrosive to the skin category 1B. Substance dispayed signs of corrosivity within an exposure time period > 3 mins and < 1 h. According to the guidance document on application of the CLP criteria (2011) if a substance or mixture is classified as skin corrosive Cat. 1 then serious damage to eyes is implicit and there is no need to procede with classification for eye effects (Section 3.3). The substance is considered corrosive to the respiratory tract. According the note 1 of table 3.1.3 of annex 1 of the regulation EC 1272/2008 (EU H071).
