Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

An experimental study was conducted, with sufficient information despite could not be fully compared to OECD/EC guideline, on the dehydrated substance (purity not specified); the result, obtained by the capillary method, is supposed to be a true melting point (solid/liquid transition).

Supporting litterature data from five handbooks are consistent with the previous result. As the substance is liquid at ambient temperature, data may be considered as freezing points rather than true melting points.

The retained value is the mean of the above values.
