Description of key information

A well performed acute oral and dermal study are available.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One out of 6 animals died at an oral dose of 2000 mg/kg bw. None of the animals died at a dermal application of 2000 mg/kg bw. Therefore, for both the oral and dermal route the LD50 > 2000 mg/kg bw. No acute inhalation study is available but inhalation is not likely as PDTN exists as a wet cake.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Because the LD50 value for both the oral and dermal route were in excess of 2000 mg/kg bw, no classification is needed in Europe.
