Additional information

No information on the potential toxicity of the substance Gaskamine 240 to terrestrial organisms is available. Since testing of toxicity to terrestrial organisms is not required for substances manufactured or imported in quantities ranging from 10 to 100 tonnes per year, the potential terrestrial toxicity will be predicted on the basis of available aquatic toxicity data by using the equilibrium partitioning method. Due to the high adsorption potential an additional assessment factor of 10 will be applied in the calculation of the PNEC. The calculated Henry's Law constant at 25 °C is 1.73E-06 Pa x m3/mol for the substance (mean value based on a mean molecular weight of 292.4 g/mol). The soil-water partition coefficient used in the calculation is 526 m3/m3.
