Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If respiratory symptoms appear, seek
medical attention. If not breathing, administer artificial
respiration.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with water for 15 minutes, including under eyelids. If
irritation is apparent, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water, for large scale
dermal exposure seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting or give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, water fog.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and also some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protection by suitable clothing and positive pressure
breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing and respirator, sweep up
solid material and transfer to suitable containers for
disposal by incineration. Wash down contaminated areas
with plenty of water, using containment to avoid washings
reaching drains or surface waters.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance. These include local exhaust ventilation (LEV), a
closed-system pumping for withdrawal of analytical sampling
and the use of a down flow booth in an enclosed area for QA
sampling of the material. Personal protective equipment
(PPE) should be worn when exposure cannot be prevented or
adequately controlled. PPE consists of a Tyvek suit,
gloves/gauntlets to EN 386/374-2/374-3 and full-face powered
respirators, consisting of a Tornado power unit to standard
EN 12941, dust filters and a T-Two system hood.

Storage: Store at ambient temperature protected from moisture.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Small steel drums with removable head (capacity 100 litres).
