Discussion boiling point:

The determinations were performed in duplicate and, in both cases, distinct endotherms were obtained. The boiling point is taken as the onset of the boiling endotherm, as calculated by the Pyris software.

The following results were obtained: a) 226.28 °C, b) 226.28 °C, average: 226.28 °C.

Discussion decomposition/sublimation temperature:

The samples were analysed, in duplicate, with the following results: a) > 400 °C, b) > 400 °C, average: > 400 °C.

The atmospheric pressure at the time of testing was 1019 mb.

Neither test run showed any significant exothermic event, which indicates that the specimen had no tendency to a self induced decomposition under the conditions of this test (up to 400 °C). When the crucibles were examined following the test it was noted that the samples remained intact thus confirming the findings by DSC.

Conclusions:
The test item has a boiling point of 226.3 °C. No decomposition is observed up to 400 °C.
