The pycnometer was calibrated at 20 and 40 °C. The density of the test item was determined from five replicates at 20 °C and at 40 °C with the determined volume of the pycnometers (24.2441 cm3 and 24.6833 cm3, respectively).

Conclusions:
The relative density of the test item was determined to be 0.7777 ± 0.00004 at 20 °C and 0.7679 ± 0.00137 at 40 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to OECD TG 109, Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.3 and OPPTS 830.7300 to determine the relative density of the test item. The density was determined in five independent determinations at 20 and 40 °C. Using the pycnometer method the density was determined to be 0.7777 ± 0.00004 g/cm3 at 20 °C and the relative density 0.7777 with respect to water at 4 °C, respectively. The density at 40 °C was determined to be 0.7679 ± 0.00137 g/cm3 and the relative density 0.7679 with respect to water at 4 °C, respectively.

Description of key information

The relative density of the test item was determined to be 0.7777 ± 0.00004 at 20 °C and 0.7679 ± 0.00137 at 40 °C.
