Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The Ready Biodegradability IRFMN model of the VEGA platform predicts that the target compound is NON Readily Biodegradable. There are some critical aspects related to this output, since the target compound could be out of the Applicability Domain of the model and the AD index is 0.433. Only moderately similar compounds with known experimental value have been found in the training set (see Figure 5): the most apparently similar compound (Similarity index = 0.73) is a perfluorinated
compound, presenting however oxygen atom. This model considers molecular fragments related to Ready Biodegradability (RB). In this case, the relevant fragment defined by the SMARTS: F has been found “Non RB alert no. 11 (fluorine)”.
Overall assessment: These results seem to be in agreement with current scientific evidences, highlighting NON Readily Biodegradability of fluorinated compounds
5,6. Therefore (1Z)-1,3,3,3- Tetrafluoroprop-1-ene should be considered asNON Readily Biodegradable.
