- Conclusions:
- Based on the growth rate, the 72h-EC50 of the test item in algae is 170 mg/L and the 72h-NOEC is 7.4 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
An algae growth inhibition test was conducted with the test item in Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata / Selenastratum capricornutum (ATCC 22662), according to the OECD guideline 201, under GLP conditions. Algae were exposed to the test item at concentrations of 0 (control), 3.2, 10, 32, 100 and 320 mg/L for 72 hours at 23 ± 2ºC. The test item concentration was measured by GC-MS at the beginning and at the end of the exposure time and, since the measured concentrations were outside the range ± 20 % of the nominal, all results were given as measured values. Based on the growth rate, the 72h-EC50 of the test item in algae was determined to be 170 mg/L and the 72h-NOEC was 7.4 mg/L (average value of the measured concentration).
