Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
348 °C

Results of the four consecutive tests were 371.7 °C, 383.3 °C, 347.7 and 364.7 °C.

Conclusions:
The relative self-ignition temperature of Leuco Sulfur Blue 13 was determined to be 348 °C.
Executive summary:

The objective of the study was to evaluate the relative self-ignition temperature of Leuco Sulfur Blue 13.

A certain volume of the test item under the assay was placed into an oven at ambient temperature; the temperature/time curve was recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased up to 400 °C, at a rate of approximately 0.5 °C/min. For the purpose of this test, the temperature of the oven at which the sample temperature reachesby self-heating is called the self-ignition temperature.

Four replicate tests were performed.

The relative self-ignition temperature of Leuco Sulfur Blue 13was determined to be 348 °C.

Description of key information
