Description of key information

5′-O-[bis(4-methoxyphenyl) phenylmethyl]-2′-deoxythymidine, 3′-[2-cyanoethyl N,N-bis(1-methylethyl)phosphoramidite is not readily biodegradable.

Additional information

According to the requirements of the regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 the biodegradability of 5′-O-[bis(4 -methoxyphenyl) phenylmethyl]-2′-deoxythymidine, 3′-[2 -cyanoethyl N,N-bis(1 -methylethyl)phosphoramidite was tested according to the OECD test guideline 301 F ”Ready Biodegradability: Manometric Respirometry Test”, and in compliance with the OECD-GLP standards (Hammesfahr U. 2018).

The mean biodegradation at test end after 28 days was 5 % (based on ThODNH4) and 4 % (based on ThODNO3). Therefore, the test item is considered to be not readily biodegradable.
