Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
< 1.6
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
5.4
Details on results:
The three calibration series and three test material series were measured alternately. The partition coefficient Pow was determined based on a calibration curve using 6 reference substances.
The capacity factors k were calculated from the dead time and retention times of the reference substances. The log k data of the reference substances were plotted against their log Pow values. The resulting calibration curve is attached to this study summary.

The capacity factor k and log Pow for the test material could not be determined by using this method, because the retention time of the test material was found to be less than the retention time of thiourea (dead time).
Conclusions:
The estimated log Pow of test material on the chromatograms is <1.6.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test material was investigated in a study which was conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guidelines EU Method A.24 and OECD 117, using the HPLC Method.

Under the conditions of the study it was concluded the log Pow for the test material could not be determined because the retention time of the test material was found to be less than the retention time of thiourea (dead time).

The estimated log Pow of test material on the chromatograms is <1.6.

Description of key information
