Details on results:
The substance forms a high viscose solution at a concentration of 1000 g/l. Therefore it was not possible to use a five fold concentration for the determination of the water solubility, as required by the EU method A.6. Consequently, the solubility could be higher than the mean value found.

Executive summary:

The water solubility of the substance was assessed by the shake flask method, according to the EU Method A.6. The quantity of the substance to be tested was estimated in the preliminary test. Three stoppered flasks containing the right amount of the test material and water were agitated for 24, 48 and 72 hours respectively, at 30 °C. After 24 hours of equilibration (at 20 °C), the concentration of the substance on the supernatant was estimated spectrophotometrically.


The water solubility of the substance was found to be 194 g/l at 20 °C and pH 4.8.
