Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Eyes:
Flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids widely. Seek medical attention, if irritation persist.

Skin:
remove contaminated clothes. Wash skin with water and soap. Seek medical attention in case of signt of toxic effects.

Ingestion:
Immediately ribnse mouth and drink 1-2 glasses of water. Keep person under observation. If uncomfortable: Seek hospital. Provokse vomiting, provided the injured is conscious.

Inhalation:
Bring injured person into fresh air and keep person calm and under observation. If uncomfortable: Seek hospital.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agents:
Extinguish with carbon dioxide or dry powder.

Products arising from burning or pyrolysis:
Very toxic vapours may be formed (COx, NOx, HCN, F)

Protective equipment:
Full breathing protection, gloves, goggles.

Accidental release measures

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of dust. Use personal protection (e.g. gloves, safety goggles adn breathing apparatus). Do not discharge into drains, water courses or on the ground. Isolate the spillage. Use vacuum cleaner. If this is not possible, humidify the dust with very little water and transfer spillage to closed containers. Dispose-off waste accroding to national, state and local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling under contained conditions.
In case of accidental spillage/maintenance/cleaning suitable respiratory equipement, protective gloves and goggles/face shield should be used. Special working clothing should be used. Hands should be washed after handling.

Storage:
Should be stored in original containers in a dry place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

The substance is used under strictly controlled condition (SCC) during its whole lifecycle:
(a) the substance is rigorously controlled from its arrival to its use and transformation:
(b) procedural (Standard Operating Procedures for use) and control technologies are used to minimize
emission and any resulting exposure;
(c) the substance is handled only by trained and authorized personnel;
(d) in the case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as equipment washing are
applied before the system is opened and entered;
(e) in cases of accident and where waste is generated, there is an Emergency Plan to minimize emissions
and the resulting exposure;
(f) substance-handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.
A periodic environmental monitoring confirms the efficacy of the above practices.
Details about SCC is included in a "RMM-document” in section 13.
which will be attached in section 13 in a updated version of the Registration Dossier.

If substance is transported to other sites, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4).

In case of accidental spillage/maintenance/cleaning suitable respiratory equipement, protective gloves and goggles/face shield should be used. Special working clothing should be used. Hands should be washed after handling.

Disposal considerations

Dispose in closed containers according to local regulations.
