Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Estimated based on solubility ratio:

Log Pow= >5 at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the fact of the differences in the sobulity of the test item in water (see endpoint 4.8) and in n-octanol the determination of the log Pow corresponding to the OECD Guideline 107 (shake flask method) is not feasible. Because the test item cannot be chromatographed under the prescribed conditions the HPLC-method (OECD Guideline 117) is also not feasible.

Due to this, the log Pow can only be estimated from the single solubilities of the test item in water and in n-octanol.

Since a generally valid water solubility of the test item cannot be determined, because the water solubility depends on the sample size applied as well as on the determination method, it is also not possible to estimate a generally valid log Pow value from the single solubilities in n-octanol and in water.

It can be suggested that the partition coefficient of test substance was estimated to be log Pow= >5 at 20°C.
