Tris(ethyl acetoacetato-O1',O3)aluminium is non-toxic to aquatic species at three trophic levels: fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae, as demonstrated by the results below.
- LC50 96 h fish > 100 mg/l loading rate: experimental data obtained testing Tris(ethyl acetoacetato-O1',O3)aluminium according to OECD TG 203.
- EC50 48h Daphnia Magna > 150 mg/l (nominal concentration): experimental data obtained testing Tris(ethyl acetoacetato-O1',O3)aluminium according to OECD TG 202.
- EC50 growth rate 72h Desmodesmus subspicatus =112 mg/l (meas.geom.mean): experimental data obtained testing Tris(ethyl acetoacetato-O1',O3)aluminium according to OECD TG 201.
The study regarding toxicity on microorganism is waived based on the substance is ready biodegradable and there is no concern for toxicity to microorganism of sewage treatment plant.
