Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation (EC n. 1907/2006), Annex VIII, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted when the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (log Kow =0.72 at pH=7 and at T=25 °C) or the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly . Both criteria for waiving adsorption/desorption screening are fulfilled for Tris(ethyl acetoacetato-O1',O3)aluminium.

A predicted value for partition coefficient organic carbon-water was calculated by EUSES 2.1.2 Koc = 24.8 l/kg. This value was used by CHESAR for chemical safety assessment. Considering this predicted value, a low adsorption potential is expected. As reported in ECHA Guidance Chapter R.7b: in general substances with a Koc <500 – 1000 l/kg are not likely sorbed to sediment (SETAC 1993).
